We encourage you to take some time to discover the delights of Melbourne and to experience the contrasts of this vast southern land.  Detailed below are a range of half day or full day tours around Melbourne as well as 3-4 day tours to explore other regions or cities before or after the Congress.  Whether it be the natural wonders of the Great Barrier Reef, the dramatic Red Centre or the stunning beauty of Sydney and its spectacular Harbour, stay a while and enjoy the people and places of Australia.

Australian Grand Prix
Melbourne is once again the host city for the Formula One Australian Grand Prix.  The city somes alive with the speed, thrills, adrenalin and glamour over the 4-day festival (March 13-March 16 2008).  To obtain further infomation or to book tickets visit www.grandprix.com.au

The event attracts a huge audience to Melbourne and tickets, accommodation and flights are at a premium so we encourage you to book early.

MELBOURNE TOURING

The Great Ocean Road Tour
Date:  Saturday 15 March & Friday 21 March 2008
Time: 7.30am - 7.30pm
Cost:  $135.00 per person

View the spectacular coastline of the Great Southern Ocean to the shipwreck coast for phenomenal views of the spectacular Twelve Apostles - huge stone monoliths that rise out of the seas, each eroded by pounding waves, onshore winds and the passage of time.  View the Razorback, Island Arch and the other twisted stacks that make up the Twelve Apostles.  You'll drive through fern gullies along The Great Ocean Road, see quaint seaside towns and gaze out across beautiful sandy beaches and blue azure waters.  Includes transport.

The Yarra Valley Winery Tour
Date:  Sunday 16 March 2008
Time:  9.30am - 4.00pm
Cost: $129.00 per person

The elixir of life is certainly produced and bottles - so Victorians believe - in the foothills of the Yarra Valley.  This picturesque valley is home to some delightful wine producing vitners.  Domaine Chandon, built by the world French champagne production with a little sampling - of course.  We'll visit some smaller wine makers and quietly enjoy lunch.  Cheers....

Kangaroo Watch

This tour aims to orientate you with your host city, Melbourne.  The inhabitants of Melbourne love her elegant layout, her Victorian grandeur and architecture, her wide tree-lined streets, the hustle and bustle of this thriving metropolis.

Penguins on Parade - Express
Date:  Tuesday 18 March 2008
Time:  5.30pm - 11.00pm

Perhaps the most amazing and delightful tour of all, the Penguin Parade is unique among animal displays anywhere in the world.  See these charming little fairy penguins, bloated from a day's catch of fish, gamely waddle up the broad Summerland Beach to their nests.  And they do this every night of the year, keeping a punctual rendezvous at sunset determined to find their homes.

Sydney Stopover (3 Days / 3 Nights)
Dates:  You choose your dates pre and post the Congress.

Day 1 and you commence the tour of Australia's largest city, Sydney.  Undertake a luncheon cruise on Sydney Harbout, then discover this vibrant city and its wonderful beaches this afternoon.

Day 2 and you escape to the secluded wilderness and unsurpassed beauty of the Blue Mountains by 4WD vehicle.  Enjoy captivating views of rugged cliffs separated by deep valleys covered by eucalyptus trees.  Hear the calls of native birds and look out for other wildlife.  Lunch is included at an Australian mountain pub (hotel).

Day 3 Today is at leisure to explore Sydney or join one of the may tours from Sydney.  For example: Cruise the calm pristine waters of Jervis Bay as we search for families of dolphins - it's fabulous to see them swimming in the bow wave.  Travel through Kangaroo Valley to view the spectacular cascading Fitzroy Waterfalls.

Day 4 Tour terminates this morning.

Day 1 Your first day after arriving in Port Douglas is for you to relax by the pool or go exploring the quaint city of Port Douglas.

Day 2 and the action really begins as you are off to explore the Great Barrier Reef.  Go snorkelling in crystal clear waters, view the brilliantly coloured coral and fish from a glass bottom boat.  Smorgasboard lunch is included.

Day 3 today undertake the 4WD Daintree & Cape Tribulation tour - journey along the "Bloomfield Track" to see virgin forests, stroll along the beach, where rainforest meets reef and walk into the upper levels of the rainforest, tropical BBQ lunch is included.

Day 4 the tour terminates this morning.

Auckland and Bay of Islands
Dates:  22-24 March 2008

Day 1 (22 March) Auckland, Bay of Islands Tour begins in Auckland.  This morning we journey across the Auckland Harbour Bridge travelling through the farming communities of Warkworth and Wellsford.  Visit the Matakohe Pioneer Museum, home to the world's largest collection of Kauri gum.  Continue to the majestic Waipoua Kauri Forest Reserve where we view the giant Kauri tree, Tane Mahuta, 'Lord of the Forest'.  View the magnificent Hokianga Harbour before travelling to the sub-tropical Bay of Islands National Maritime Park, a beautiful unspoilt paradise, rich in history and culture.  Dinner included this evening.  Overnight: Bay of Islands, Waitangi Resort.

Day 2 (23 March) Bay of Islands, Freedowm of Choice Touring.  Today you have the opportunity to choose the sightseeing activity whihc most interests you and we will include it.  Whether it be a day trip to the very top of New Zealand, a tour of the first capital town, sailing on a unique schooner, swimming with the dolphins, an arts and crafts tour in Kerikeri or simply relaxing on a beautiful golden sandy beach, the choice is yours.  Breakfast & Dinner included today.  Overnight Waitangi Resort.

Day 3 (24 March) Bay of Islands, Auckland.  This morning our Bay of Islands cruise takes us to Cape Brett and the famous Hold in the Rock.  Meander through the inner islands, viewing sandy beaches and rocky outcrops.  Return this afternoon to Auckland.  Your tour concludes on arrival.  NOTE: You must be in Auckland on the night of the 21st March to commence the tour early on 22nd March.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations received in writing by Friday 07 March, 2008 will be refunded less 20% booking fee. Cancellations received after this date will not be refunded - this includes no-shows on the day of travel.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
All tours are operated on a private charter basis specifically for this Congres.  Should minimum numbers not be attained tours will be cancelled, attendees notified and you will be given the opportunity to book on tour/s with another local Melbourne tour operator at a higher price OR given a full refund.  The operator reserves the right to amend itineraries if necessary without notice.
